Sandman77
Is this information correct? We have a insurance but my wife not want make a driving licence, also when I told her 10 times ! She not belive me that insurance we pay every month proberbly in case of.. Not wil pay, so Iam not the official owner of the car only the payer! How this the Thai law handle , when Falang drives but owner of car not have any driving paper, in case of a accident ? Would insurance pay me , because I was the driver or no payment when owner not have the driving licence ?
chiang mai
If the driver of the vehicle involved in an accident does not have a driving license, the insurance in void.
stevenl
If the driver of the vehicle involved in an accident does not have a driving license, the insurance in void. In general 3rd party will pay but recoup from the driver. So for sure own damage is not covered. Who owns the car and whether he/she has a valid DL is of no importance, only the driver is.
