As Ronaldo has another 3 years left on his contract how can he say " i,m going " ect.

The signing of and keeping contract obligations and lack of enforcing them in football was i,m afraid the start to my decline in the game.

Managers and players alike just upping sticks and walking out when things aren,t going to plan or they get greedy and want yet more money than previously agreed to.

Just like when your kids and the person providing the ball picks it up and walks off if things aren,t to his liking.

O.K. some will argue that when a club / team become more successful they deserve more and maybe at least deserves some debate and consideration if by mutual consent.

On the same footing it should also apply that when a team is not and in decline usually due to under performing players and managers that their wages ect. are reduced accordingly.

Unless it is by mutual agreement and not by blackmail and threats of not playing for the club again.

They should either be made to honour their contracts or made sit it out until they do so.

At the very least a significant and effective punishment / deterrant should be imposed to make them

think twice about their actions and what the alternatives mean if they do not stand by their obligations to club and more importantly the FANS / SUPPORTERS who without they wouldn,t be there in the first place.

My humble opinion on Rooneys sending off is that he should have kept his cool and was a nutter doing what he did, no matter if he meant it or not.

A deserved sending off and something he keeps getting due to lack of discipline.

Rules are rules and everyone know the consequences, especially him.

Ronaldo has been behaving like a pillock lately. It would be great if Man Utd stuck him in the reserves and let him rot for the next 3 years. That would serve him right. But football is a business, Ronaldo is still young and his transfer would generate a lot of money for The Red Devils.

It looks almost certain that Ronaldo will be performing his trademark stepovers in another European league next season.

Wait, the ManU fans are willing to give up all those step-over and shoot high and wide moves? I'm dying for RealMadrid to have R Carlos and C Ronaldo fighting over those chances.
