They are out there, in Ubon seen a couple of 60's Mustangs, Buick Riviera (455), Pontiac Bonneville (400), late 60's Ford 2 door saloon, and a new Camaro. thumbsup.gif

Actually the prices are about 3.5m baht new as long as you don't go for the 5 litre versions.

However they are all left hand drive.

In the eighties it was relatively common to see old American cars (and many early Mercs etc , and even the Aussie Holdens ) being driven around Bangkok . I guess they all eventually die and go to that great scrapyard in the sky.

Bit off topic but my mate back in the 70's UK bought, I think the year was a 1969 SS Camaro 396 big block convertible (rare) for I think 800 quid w00t.gif . He got banned from driving and sold it for (I think) 1400 quid sad.png . That car now is worth a fortune..whistling.gif

Little bit off topic I agree, it is refreshing you did not post about your transam again though.

I like this 66 Fastback. Shame about the price tag though.

That car's immaculate and right hand drive though.. Not much more then it would cost stateside in that condition.

I was more complaining about the price tag because I cannot afford it. in the real world (not my impoverished one) I agree the price is not too unrealistic.

Yes the Thai American Car Club has many American muscle cars in the club. They usually have a show every year. Have not been in a couple years since I sold my 1965 Olds Cutlass but here is a link to some photos I took at one of their shows.

The black thing (Lincoln ?) reminds me of the car the from the movie "The Car"..... I tried to convince my boss to buy it when it was up for sale a few years ago.

I was under the impression that a 2 litre right hand drive Mustang had been built and was soon to be supplied for the UK and other markets, there is also a 5 litre V8 for those who cannot stand the thought of anything less in a Mustang biggrin.png
