Any upcoming racing event in Chiang Mai (at 700 Year Stadium)

Featured Replies

Hey guys.

This morning on my way back from training at 700 year stadium I noticed that they are putting up Armco Barriers (traffic barriers) all around the 700 Year Stadium in the area of the Main Stadium itself. Does anyone know whether there is some sort of motorcar racing event taking place there soon? A quick Google search could not reveal anything....

Thanks

Jerrie

Ok, seems it is a Toyota Motorsport Festival to be held on 20 and 21 September at 700 Year Stadium.

Thanks. You did well to find that Jerrie- I dug around after your post yesterday and couldnt find anything. Last year it was a good event and a good evening too - but 21/9 is the night time street race Formula 1 in Singapore.

Thought about going but many zones sold out, cant get the hotel we wanted and flights are predictably higher. Tickets are also pricey but then JLo and Robbie Williams, among others, have got to be paid!

So maybe 20th at Toyota, 700 stadium and 21st home to watch F1 on tv, washed down with a few beers. Not everyone's idea of fun but it is mine.

Then Singapore in October to see Brazil v Japan soccer.
