Two more privately owned Myanmar carriers – Shwe Myanmar Airlines and Air KBZ – will begin flying between Yangon and Chiang Mai,

It will fly between the two cities three times a week – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – and the price of a one-way ticket will be US$59

Totally agree. We've been going to go there for ages, just never quite gotten around to it. I'm sure one of the reasons that put it in File 13 was that last time I looked (a long time ago) we had to go to Bangkok to get a onward flight.

That is a cozy price!.... the wife and I are doing a river cruise on the Amara-2 in Dec. so just booked a round-trip flight for two from CM to Mandalay on BKK-Air for 17,330B..... it will most likely be a 'promo'-price for a while,much like a few years back Air Asia had flights from BKK to Rangoon for $39usd.
