Can anybody tell me if the computers of the Thai Embassy in London and Swampy airport in Bangkok are linked when you present your Passport at Swampy immigration

No, they are not linked. Why would they be? There wouldn't really be any reason for them to be linked via computer other than to check the visa was issued directly from them. They certainly couldn't answer or give any other information.

The Visa number that they tap on at immigration will show who and when the visa was given to... and the length and type. This would be to stop people trying to fake a visa etc I guess, and those that did would be in deepish water.

Thanks for the info the reason I asked cause I called London embassy about a double entry and the guy said 30 days then I called again and a lady answered she said 60 days. I said are you sure she said yes. But I posted to Ubonjoe and he said that the embassy only issue the visa when you get to imm in Swampy you will know how many days you get. Thanks again.
