SurinBeach Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I've googled this no but joy so maybe its not possible, Simple question I think .... I have Samsung TV's, connect thumbrives to the USB port, when playing music videos (mp3) I want to skip a track I don't like...by pressing just one button I'm bouncing up and down on my cross trainer at the time so its a bit tricky ! I know I can skip by FF-ing to the end, or hit RETURN and move to next file But surely you would have thought it was possible via the remote ! Any techies out there ? THX, Regards SB
RichCor Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 That feature would depend on your remote control and the TV's media player software. What model Samsung? What does the manual say? Have you tried <RIGHT> or <DOWN>, or double-pressing <RIGHT> or <DOWN> or <FF> The only other way would be to buy a custom remote that could emulate a keyboard. 1
craigt3365 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I have 2 Samsung TVs and both handle USBs differently. I use a media player instead. Sooooo much easier to use and much more flexible. The user interface is great. I also have recently purchase a new "smart" TV. The internal media player is nowhere near as sophisticated as my Western Digital media player.
SurinBeach Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 Thanks Gents for your two replies... I have 3 Samsung TVs, a variety of Samsung remotes, Re Have you tried <RIGHT> or <DOWN>, or double-pressing <RIGHT> or <DOWN> or <FF> Yup went and tried, but no joy. So went and dug out old my old WD TV Live from the back of a cupboard and it has the feature/key on the remote, shame my new 55" LED 3D doesn't ! And just checked my LG, that wont skip to next file either ....
