Hot from Photokina...

Canon has announced they are also joining the retro game.

Their new camera will be known as the EOS 2Dr Mk1 and

has a new Kodak 46MP sensor, eye control auto focus

system similar to what was on the EOS 50 except the

new system promises to be much faster and more accurate.

The camera will use Canon's new DIGIC X image processor

for the fastest image processing known to date with 100%

true 64bit colour rendition. It will use Canon's "new retro"

"Turret Select" lens mounting system....see photo below for

further information and see your local Canon representative

for detailed in depth information and a quick demonstration.

Release to the masses date...TBA in 1qtr 2015.

Gonna be very difficult to be a "one man band" with this beast R.

One will really need an assistant to carry the tripod and another

to carry the bevvies on a hot day! I wonderif it's an "L" series

lens or did Canon give it a brand new designation?

This kinda adds new meaning to "Canon" doesn't it...

otherwise too similar to artillery piece!
