Booking a trip to the US. Wondering if any members have used local tour companies or travel agents to find better rates than internet flight search engines. If so, I'd appreciate the recommendation.

Better off doing it yourself. Haven't used a travel agent for donkeys years.

Cathay, China Air, and Korean Air fly 1 stop Chiang Mai to US. I have often gotten a slightly better deal on Korean Air flights by going to their office in the Chiang Mai airport. The office opens daily at 4 pm. Better than on Korean Air's website and way better than any travel agent can offer.

I can second P&P Travel. I've worked with them on various occassions and have found that sometimes their prices are competitive, sometimes not. But their service is always very good. Another plus is that they speak some English.
