BANGKOK, Sept 23 -- The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) this year includes ten Thai listed companies, up from only four last year.

This proves the sustainable growth of the companies that enjoy support from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), according to SET.

Four companies are in DJSI World. They are PTT (PTT), PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP), PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) and SCG (SCC).

DJSI Emerging Markets includes Banpu Plc (BANPU), Central Pattana (CPN), IRPC (IRPC), Minor International (MINT), PTT, PTTEP, PTTGC, SCG, Thaioil (TOP) and Thai Union Frozen Products (TUF).

SET President Kesara Manchusree said the number of Thai listed companies in DJSI rose from four to ten and showed the success of Thai listed companies, their social and environment responsibilities and SET's continuous support for them.

She hoped that the inclusion should attract local and international investors and ensure good returns for long-term investors. (MCOT online news)
