Holse sneaked away from a Bangkok hotel that a German foundation had arranged for him to stay in while waiting for the issuance of a passport earlier this week. The German initially claimed his passport was stolen... Now i understand more clear but why did they give him the money .. They should have kept it until he was leaving but these days some people are too trusting . but nevertheless he has immigration detention center to look forward too where he will be locked up with around 80 people per cail and only allowed out for 2 hours every 3 days and will enjoy the watery chicken stock with some unidentifiable vegetables thrown in... Should have just ;gone back to Flensburg while he had the chance but instead pissing peoples money away and used it on prostitutes .. But people whom worry about his poor leg don't need to worry as stated early on a police Facebook page later quoted Holse as saying that the excessive swelling on his legs was a congenital symptom and his condition was neither elephantiasis nor painful. So now let him rot in IDC..

Also price of a ticket back to his home now what's not very far from hamburg cost around 14,000THB ... That would have left him with 26,0000THB

The poor bastard's only got one decent leg.... let him have his fun. I know if I had the choice of 2 proper legs, or 1 club leg and a modest splurge in Pattaya, I wouldn't be choosing the latter.

What a lot of rubbish! I am physically challenged myself but would never dream of begging nor taking advantage of other people (and yes, I have worked too). "Splurging" on other people's money in Pattaya is just disgusting, I am beyond words! This guy is a absolute "lowlife" and should get deported, such people are not needed in any country. Lucky for him, he is German, there is good medical care in that country and I am sure if he puts his little mind to work, he will find a job? If he has enough energy to scr.... around with bar girls and boys, he can work too! And "sympathy" does not fill a plate with food, nor does it pay the rent.

Interesting, they make such a big deal oit of this guy. Correct, He should head back home !! Wh about the three or four Thai Beggars on every block they work for the Beggar Mafia or independant. They all do the same beg, drink, drugs. Hell, get them all off the street. Most I see look fairly healthy and are too lazy to work or make more than minumum wage begging.

A lot have little babies laying on the sidewalk breathing the fumes form buses, cars and motorcycles. Can not be good for the babies !!

Deport him! It will be the best for Thailand and him. This guy is the kind of foreign filth that is attracted to Thailand. Ban and remove the sex industry that caters to foreigners in Thailand, and these garbage people and criminals will stop coming to Thailand. The sex industry attracts foreign garbage like dog manure attracts flies.

"He also gave us money, telling us to get him some beer and some girls for him to sleep with," one of the taxi motorcyclists said..."

"He claimed Holse did not like the girl they brought for him..." wai2.gifwai.gif

Have they arrested the taxi motorcyclists for pimping and engaging in prostitution?

Due to their confessions?

Ignorance at it's most splendid.

I wish I could strip all you arrogant Farangs of your money and trappings of wealth and put you in the place of these lazy people for a month.

What really bugs me is a-holes come to SE Asia and critisise all things that are here, hey guess what, it's what you signed up for when you moved to a developing nation.

You want to live in Asia but not have to suffer the poor in your face, go to Tokyo.

This could happen to anybody anywhere in the world I would never have thought I could be homeless, but he said a few months ago he was just like anybody else with a mortgage, a job and a girlfriend and then he had a bit of bad luck and lost it all. Read More http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/kind-hearted-medical-student-finds-facebook-4324942#ixzz3EOEEQQzO But what this German guy did is dam right stupid ...

One photo shows him sitting in a bar alone, the other's show him sitting in the street with a bottle of water. I wouldn't say that's living it up.

If ones lifestyle is financed by others, perhaps it could be called "living it up". I don't know the details and certainly don't know the man.

"Thais are angry because it seems he preyed on their generosity." this is the best !!!!

Are you implying that Thais in general have less generosity? In my experience --

outside of the main tourist areas -- Thais are more generous than Westerners.

And are also more honest, smell a lot better... etc, etc.

Swollen leg - possible Viagra side-effect ?

Doesn`t it only affect the "third" leg wink.png ??

YES...I'm sure with 50 grand he probably had enough coin to experience some swelling in other parts of his body. But 50 grand doesn't go far so he may not die with a smile on his face.

Better to have "some" swollen part of your body and spend a night with some drinks and more than one girl only than never in your life. biggrin.png

"They ultimately released him because there was nothing to charge him with, as being a dick is not a crime – especially in Pattaya."

I condemn his actions, but I can't stop laughing with the above statement.

Costas2008, I've been away for a couple of weeks, but I can see that you're as negative, as ever. Anyway, where is the condemnation associated with panhandling, that you'd refer to the chap as being a "dick"? Is he harming anyone (other than himself), in any way, shape or form? No! Get off your high-horse, Costas. If you were such a big kingpin in Greece, then you'd be there, instead of Thailand. So, give it a rest, for a change!coffee1.gifK ?

Dohhhhh, I didn't write this statement, one day you will learn to read properly what is written on the article.

I think you better stay away for another couple of weeks, you don't offer anything on this forum anyway.

Reminds me of a beggar I saw in Oxford, with a half starved dog.

Nice young lady felt sorry for him, rather than give him money she bought him a sandwich and a hot cup of tea, he just throw them across the street.

If people feel so concerned with these people maybe there should be a system where people can by "food vouchers" to hand to beggars.

They would simply sell them or exchange them in dodgy shops.

There is no solution to this problem, other than to provide shelters and soup kitchens.

Not everyone 'fits' in the world - the more so, the worse the treatment from the rest of the conformists.

Have they commented on your smell then?

Whatever happened to the sense of humor here on Thaivisa??whistling.gif

And the quotation-signs " " means you are quoting someone, as in not saying it yourself, but merely commenting on the qoute!

But that is probably too complicated for you!!coffee1.gif

To Costas, agree with you: Comment of the day!clap2.gif

Was the only reason people had sympathy for him because of his leg?

Other foreign beggars have been ignored and will be continued to be ignored in Thailand.

Didn't many Thai donate? They are the ones who will feel duped.

Any homeless people should be given food and water rather than money. They will just piss it up the wall.

And who is actually allowing the sex-industry and thereby attracting what you call scum?
