Tourist Visa or Visa Waiver?

Featured Replies

My next Ed Visa ext is/was 14th Oct

but with 2yrs 9mths down all I need

is another 3 mths as I turn 50 end of Jan.

Will get retirement visa Brisbane.

So where & Tourist Visa or Visa Waiver?

I was thinking Tourist Visa 60days

Maybe Singapore as I've no visa runs many yrs.

Then out/back (visa waiver) for another 30days

I don't mind going back a few weeks early

I need a break from Thai 'culture' anyway

I still have paid classes til Nov that I'd like to finish

I've lived in Thailand for 10yrs but when your Gay, not working, under 50 , not married...no visa

Thanks in Advance

For 90 days you need a tourist visa and extend it for 30 more at immigration.

Singapore is not the best choice for any visa. They will want a ticket out to get one.

What kind of visa do you expect to get in Brisbane?

Retirement Visa being 50 end of Jan (BNE)

Will go KUL for tourist visa

As see Singapore Thaivisa reports + others

Plus I only have 2 TV in 4 yrs Ed & Non O

I Posted 3.35am so SIN was first place I thought of being many years back without problems,

how things change.

Plus I only have 2 TV in 4 yrs Ed & Non O

I thought all Tourist Visas need to show air tickets in/out now. But guessing 80-90 days back out to OZ is the hardest part.

I never thought I would be happy to be 50

There is no retirement visa.

You can get a single entry non-o and apply for an extension of stay at immigration, Or a multiple entry non-o visa that gives 90 entries for a year. That is all you will get at Brisbane.

You can apply for a OA visa at the embassy in Canberra or the official consulate in Sydney that would give you multiple one year entries for a year.

if you can meet the financial requirements for an extension of stay you do not need to go to Oz to get a visa. You could get a single entry non-o visa for being 50 or over at any nearby embassy or consulate and apply for the extension.

Thanks for that Update

I have to go OZ next year to transfer funds anyway to make 800K req. but until then perplexed about next visa & where.

Seeing I have no Tourist Visas in my passport I guess Vientiane? would be ok so to finish the year.

Never been b4

Another Q. sorry, saves another post

What documents should I have for Non-O

with condo in partners name, I don't pay rent, so do I get him to type a letter or what to satisfy embassy/immigration criteria with 800K.

Plus whats the limit on no: of Non-O multi or single you can get if any.

Thanks

For a single entry tourist visa either Penang or Vientiane would be good.

You should get a single entry non-o from Brisbane.

What you need for proof of residence depended upon which immigration office you go to. All your should needs is a letter stating you are living in his condo and proof of ownership.

For proof of the money being in the bank for 60 days you will need a letter from the bank confirming your balance and copies of your bank book to prove the 60 days.

There is no limit on the number of non-o visas you can get.

Thanks!

Lastly: Current Ed Visa ext expires 22Oct

(2yrs 9mths)

Do I need to apply for new tourist visa after that date? eg.

I wanted to go 20th then return 22Oct to BKK

too soon?

trying to beat public holiday Thur 23rd

Thanks!

What you are calling a visa is probably an extension of stay and it will end as soon as you leave the country.

You can go at any time you want to get the tourist visa up to the date your current permit to stay ends.
