Hi,

Thought I'd post to say thanks to the forum for the little bits of advice along the way. I picked up my girlfriend's second 6 month UK visitor visa today :).

I'm a little surprised it was granted, we've been travelling Asia for a while so we are both unemployed and the funds are getting a little low. She also applied to stay for 2 months last time but stayed for 6 (she was granted a 6 month visa). Naturally happy that didnt count against her. Spent a lot of time getting the sponsor letter right so I think that's what swung it in the end. Either way very happy she can come again!

The application came back with some pages stapled together, which tells me those were the ones that were really considered. Things like the sponsor letters, accommodation information, divorce papers, and applicant/sponsor financials were stapled. Things like photographs and her education certificates were left paper clipped together. I'll include them all next time but worth mentioning.

I don't suppose if anyone knows if she will need anything special to transfer via India? As we are booking close to the date we need to take a 1 stop flight with a 2hish transfer in India. I'm going to research it but would be great to hear from other people who've done it before. At the moment I'm assuming a transfer visa shouldn't be needed as we won't leave the airport!

Joe.

You need to apply for a transit visa if you are going to change from an international terminal to a domestic terminal of any Indian airport or if you are going to stay in an airport hotel even for a few hours. You don't need a transit visa if you stay in the waiting area reserved for international transit passengers in an Indian airport.

Thanks :) it's a quick transfer so unless there is some serious delay we should be OK!
