North Korea 'not planning any missile or nuclear tests'

GENEVA: -- North Korea is not planning any missile or nuclear tests, the country's ambassador to the UN in Geneva, So Se Pyong, has told Reuters news agency.

Mr So was also quoted as saying that North Korea was ready to resume six-party talks on its nuclear programme.

North Korea has been conducting missile and nuclear tests since the negotiations broke down in 2008.

The envoy also dismissed as "fabricated rumours" recent reports that North Korean leader Kim Jon-un is unwell.

Mr Kim has not been seen in public for four weeks, and missed an important political meeting in late September.

A state TV report said he was suffering from an "uncomfortable physical condition".

It seems like it is a good tactic to aquire nuclear arms. The west are not threatening to invade North Korea, Pakistan or India. Poor old Gaddafi gave his up and look what happened to him. It might be the best policy for Iran too.

Rumor is: leader Kim, a heavy smoker who has become markedly plump since assuming the role of dictator, is "suffering from gout, along with hyperuricemia, hyperlipidemia, obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure." https://news.vice.com/article/former-top-official-says-kim-jong-un-is-no-longer-in-control-of-north-korea?utm_source=vicenewstwitter

Plump = fat, hyperlipidemia (high fat in the blood), obesity (fat), diabetes (if type 2, then often due to metabolic syndrome and related conditions from being obese), high blood pressure (often from bad diet or being obese) and hyperuricemia (to much uric acid leading to gout - oh, they just mentioned that too).

Is it just me but has this report simply repeated everything in technical terms so as to make the guy appear more ill?

What don't you understand about the ambassadors statement that dear leader is not unwell :

The envoy also dismissed as "fabricated rumours" recent reports that North Korean leader Kim Jon-un is unwell.

He also said they were not planning any missile or nuclear tests.

Ambassadors don't tell porkies now do they.
