After 6 months on High Raw Diet (50% raw vegan diet) with Lyme disease I have successfully maintained a fully functionning body without drugs, lost 25 pounds over 1 year, and I have discovered some other benefits

- Weight loss : although I am not doing it for weight loss, and i have now reached a slim figure, I find it so easy to manage my weight, after years of battling for weight. I never prive myself, and eat more than before, but because it's lower density, I never get fat. It's great.

- Body hair: it's a weird thing, I am getting less hairy on my body and my hair on my head is falling less. I used to have full hairy carf and armpit and now the actual surface of body hair has dramatically reduced. Not only I save time on removing it but also save money on buying less removing cream. On the other hand my hair is not falling as much as it used to. So less hairy body, and more hair on my head!

- Body odor: apparently Japanese call us (westerners) the butter people, because of our smell. My body odor has dramatically reduced. I hardly use deodorant and now produce very little smell in my sweat.

- Skin; No more pimples ! Pimples are the results of too much fats. I used to have some pimples sometimes, now it's ONE litlle lone, just before my period. At last a great skin complexion!

- No more period pains

So on raw vegan not only you get slim, but you are less hairy, less smelly and your skin looks better

basically you stop turning into an animal by stopping eating animals, make sense to me!

First of all congratulation that it works for you.

My diet is also 50 % vegan, the rest is pork and beef biggrin.png (Just joking)

Pimples react strongly on what you eat. Smell surely also. No surprise. I recall I once tried to eat huge amounts of garlic and see if it repels mosquito. It does....But it also repels your friends.

So surely what you eat makes you smell different.

Yeaaaaaaah

This week I am celebrating a new weight victory : I just went under the 60kg bar

I am not longer chubby /normal 60 something kgs

my weight now starts by a 5!

Ok it's 59kg for 168cm but still I have not weight that in over a decade.

And I started at nearly 80 (may be it was 78, I don't know at this point I did not dare to weight myself anymore)

So that's over 20 KILOS in a year !

So I have to correct it is 44 pounds not 20, sorry !

I was a size 14 and now I am 6 or 8.smile.png

While we disagree on many things, for 59 kg at 168 down from nearly 80 I can only applaud you! clap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif

I am down from over 80 (might be 80 might be 84, never weighted myself because I didn't want to know, but last known weight was close to 80 and than I gained much more) without any muscles I am now on 67 kg (at 170cm) with muscles and the six pack visible. There is still some ham on the lower stomach. So another 2-3 kg to reduce, or more muscle. My face went from a balloon to a mans face.

I was in some tourist places.....the door opens a belly enters and 2 min later the sweating man come....I really don't want to live like that.

I found out that if you eat too less and no fast carbs you feel great. It may even don't matter as much as we think if eating only plants high fiber or if eating mostly meat. The important thing is going away from the fast carbs.

(you know, don't forget if it is windy we should put some stones in our pocket, now....so we don't get blown away biggrin.png )

Whatever works for you is right, keep on doing it right! My sincere congratulationsclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gifclap2.gif

My problem now is that I have nothing to wear anymore, everything is too large!

I must go shopping ... What a great problem to have smile.png

it's non raw vegan, low density food

Mainly rice or rice noodles based dishes with blanched veggies, no oil.

-Everyday I have a bowl of organic noodles with fresh blanched veggies (beansprouts, lettuce, green leafy vegs) and (very important) diced spring onions on top, seasoned with miso and dry chillies flakes.

- I also sometimes have cucumbers or avocados makis

- or rice with diced raw veggies wrapped in salad to make rolls.

- And I like rice noodles with pumpkin with raw tomato sauce (tomatoes +sundried tomatoes + red peppers)

Not really still dont agree with much of what she says but her results are impressive, cant deny that.

What works--works.

We might to be too much focused on the male, muscular body. Middle age men who pretend to be still fit 25 might be different than middle age female that isn't interested in looking like Hulk.

is a proof of concept and obviously she is feeling well.

I am starting to have some loose skin, so I have to slow down a bit and try to stabilize.

Skin is not as stretchy at 45 years old !

My goal is 55/56 kgs but I am going to wait a little longer to lose that extra 5 kgs, so my skin reajusts and maybe gain a little bit of muscle.

I hate exercise, but I started taking my bicycle instead of the motorcycle to reach the main road.

That's just 2 km morning and evening

4 all together !

You have to start somewhere !

Well the thing on exercise is that you need to find something that you like to do.

My wife doesn't like exercise, but she can walk for hours when either searching for mushrooms in Europe or when going shopping. My legs are already very tired when joining her, so it is real exercise.

I am doing 1 hour lifting weights per day. I like it because it is 1 hour out of the office, not seeing the business.

Others like watching birds, or fish and do lots of exercise by it. Only doing exercise with will power is very hard.

Try out some different things......on some sports it needs some time till you start like it.

Exercise can help but you started quite late with it. But you are right skin is noit as stretchy at your age. Solutions are wait for it to come back naturally, cosmetic surgery and I heard HGH injects help with the skin.

I had some stretchy skin it came back after a while.

Adding a little ground mustard at the table to certain cooked or blanched veggies is necessary to get the full nutritional benefits. Adding enzymes in the form of even a pinch of mustard powder to cruciferous (cabbage-family) veggies like kale, collard, broccoli or Brussels sprouts can offer anti-cancer sulforaphane levels for maximum health benefits. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsN8x0BWcyE#t=42
