LIST Quarterly School Magazine - Worth a (free!) read...

Please find attached the most recent issue of the Lanna Quarterly school magazine, created entirely by Lanna International School students.

As a sponsor of Thaivisa for quite a few years, I have finally decided to take a risk and use our posting right to share the occasional thing that readers may be interested in. I hope that you find this magazine to be an interesting read. wai.gif

Thaivisa posters have a fearsome reputation, but I'd ask you to please be kind when commenting on the attached magazine. It is created entirely by the students, with teachers acting only as advisors and supporters, and a generous parent with a graphic design company assisting with layout and printing. Students need support and encouragement - your kind words could provide that.

There is no scheduled class for this; the students work in their own time to create it. I'm very proud of what they have achieved. I hope you like it too...

You must be joking!

This was produced by a group of High School Students?

I am "gob-smacked." CONGRATULATIONS to all concerned!

I've spent a lifetime in radio, television and print media. I've also run journalism and broadcasting courses and was a member of a Steering Committee, assisting with the establishment of a University, Chair of Journalism. I just had a quick read through LQ and will have a closer look in the morning but from what I have seen, you have a highly talented group of students doing a magnificent job.

I have my "fingers crossed" that my 14 y.o. daughter, who attends another school here in CNX, will later study Journalism and I'll be using LQ as a wonderful example of what can be produced by a group of dedicated students.

Once again, congratulations to all.

My favourite feature is the music playlists on page 25. I didn't know that it was possible to create playlists on Soundcloud and just share them with a URL. You live and learn I guess...

Great music too - I thought young people just listened to rubbish. Clearly not true!

Better late than never. I carefully filed this article away, and only just re-discovered it!

Amazing to think this newsletter was produced at your school, and so pleased to see something written in correct English, correct spelling and great talent.
