Thursday morning 9 am and there are approx.300 people waiting out side the Burmese embassy,

door open ant 9.15 and the visa hall with only 2 clerks serving the hundreds of people waiting

some with big bundles of passports is packed to the bream,

no system of queuing, no one to over see queue order there, Thai national rushed in to the head

of the line after some one shouted that they can do so, by passing many non Thai people that were there

from 7 am.

My self, cursing the day I decided to go to Burma, stuck in the middle of hundreds sweaty tourists

hoping to get to the window just to get a queue card

ThanI got a call from a friend who said she knew a guy who can get me those visas ( 3 people ) if I pay

him service fee and he'll bring it to my home, I have gladly agreed and left that boiler room they

at the embassy, later I was told that at 11.00 am they have suspended taking any more visa requests and

sent every one out, by than the crowed had swelled to about 500 people,

in short, there was a protesters out side the embassy and people didn't leave until they got a visa

as many of them were flying out the next day,

there were hundreds of people there until 7 pm that night waiting to get their passports back,

I got mine about 7.30 pm,

This pandemonium and mayhem should not have happened and I'm told that this is more or less that is going on a daily basis at the Burmese embassy, if this country is looking for tourist to come visit

they should get their act together in so many ways...
