Hundreds attend “Hannah’s Party” in Hemsby as murdered Hannah Witheridge is laid to rest

A white horse-drawn hearse with a mounted police escort took the body of the 23-year-old on a short final journey from her family home in Hemsby to the village’s St Mary The Virgin church.

Transport brainstorms water transport development

BANGKOK, 11 October 2014 (NNT) -- The Ministry of Transport has held a meeting on developing Thailand's water transport, with the focus on building more infrastructure.

Transport Minister Air Chief Marshal Prajin Jantong on Sunday chaired a meeting with high ranking Transport officials to discuss on the improvement of water transport nationwide.

The conclusion of the meeting will be put in the master plan aimed at developing the Thai transport and logistics systems between 2015 to 2025.

Redshirt leaders gather at airport to receive their deceased colleague

BANGKOK: -- Former core members of the redshirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) gathered at the Suvarnabhumi airport Saturday to receive the body of former second deputy House speaker Col Apiwan Wirichai who died of lung inflammation and infection in the Philippines.

His body is scheduled to arrive at 3.30pm on TG 601 Flight.

Among the UDD leaders waiting for the flight are Jatuporn Promoan, the UDD chairman, Nattawut Saikua, Wing Tichuraksrn, Mrs Thida Thaworn.

Cremation of the body of Col Apiwan will be held at Wat Bang Phai temple in Bangbua Thong district of Nonthaburi.

Col Apiwan fled the country after the military coup and was wanted for lese majeste charge.

The military junta has no objection to the return of his body for religious ceremony in the country.

Singkhon border point to become a permanent crossing
