Looking for a local (Chiang Mai) clay polymer artist

Featured Replies

I would like to develop a small creative project and I am looking at the present time for a local (Chiang Mai) artist with means and knowledge working with clay polymer.

The artist needs to have a previous experience with a certain type of clay polymer so no burning no cracking, a stable oven, able to bake the final piece at 220 - 275 degrees for 25-30 min.

I need a number of figurines to be done, 10-15 for starters.

The level of detail required can be seen in the image bellow (the character is non representative for the project but a mere sample)

The theme is an upright walking anthropomorphic (human) mutant hero (of some sort), portrayed in various fight stances, using various weapons such as nunchaku, grappling hook, Katana sword, Kumade, Sai, etc.

Thank you anticipated for your time

I don't know of anyone with the experience you're looking for. May want to visit Baan Tawai and see if any shops there sell products made with the materials and methods you're looking for. If yes, ask them who the artist is.

Being an artisan community I'd give Baan Tawai a look.

I've already talked to 10 people from Baan Tawai but they do not work with clay polymer. I've browsed around the night markets as well, to no avail.

Have you tried making inquiries at the Chiang Mai University art school?
