NATTAWAT EYE CLINIC PATTAYA

Featured Replies

Anyone any experience with cataract surgery in this clinic?

I know, many of you will suggest I go to Bangkok Bumrungrad or Rutnin, but here are my reasons to possibly do it here in Pattaya:

cost is about the same (N. Pattaya 55,000 regular/75,000 for Toric lens)

Rutnin in Bangkok (75,000-80,000) wants me to go for the check up first, then stop my antiplatelet medicine for 7 days, then have the surgery, come back next day for check up, come back after 1 week for check up, come back after 1 month for check up.

this would mean traveling Pattaya-Bangkok-Pattaya 4-5 times, 1x 7 days hotel, 1x 3days hotel.

Dr Nattawat has recommended the more expensive Toric lens. Does anyone know the advantage of this lens?

I had my eyes checked today and I was not too impressed with the equipment that was used (seemed to me a bit old fashion) but I could be wrong. a further test will be needed for the measurements of the IOL lens.

I have to make a decision within the next 3 days.

Dr. Nattawat seems very knowledgeable and speaks excellent English. I asked him how many Cataract surgeries he had done and he said 1000's. I also have not read anything negative about him.

would save me a lot of hassle traveling back and forward to Bangkok.

any advice appreciated!
