Weird Tcp/op Behavior

I've been testing out a bunch of Wi Fi cards - basically the D Link DWL G650+ AND the 3COM 3CRWE154G72. Thing is, none of the drivers compliant yet with XP - dey r currently in the process of getting certification. Now the cards work OK when I install it - dey sense the AP, connect to it and even can get all IP address attached to my WIN2K DHCP server. I can ping all addresses but the one thing I can't do is perform any kind of routing - in this specific case -DNS. I do an nslookup and nothing - although the DNS address supplied by my DHCP server is valid and I can get it from another machine which also receives DHCP. Gateway is correct. If I run a tracert to the DNS ip address from a machine that's working - it traces it with the 1st hop being the gateway. When I try it on the laptop with either card, it does not work - states something ike "no resources". I eventually ge it going but only after I uninstall/install TCP/IP and reapply the reg keys for Winsock and Winsock2. Any ideas?

thanks,
