Thai fermented things

Featured Replies

Today some place in the kitchen broke down and everything spilled on the floor.

Alone at home I had to clean it and had time to think about it.....

A fish product: Looks like the left over from fish production get fermented (well I call it fouling) in some dirty environment and is than stored semi-airproof (plastic bag).

Our here already for 5+ years.

In my opinion that can't be healthy. Actually I would thing you stay in the ICU after eating that. But I think Thai people can eat it (I doubt from the smell that any Farang ever tried it).

I know cheese and cheese with fungus. But that is made in clean places under the right conditions. While that fermented fish is made in some dirty shacks (I know the people who made these we have and they aren't clean).

Rotten fish should kill you...why doesn't it?
