October 23, 201411 yr It would appear the loaded 10 wheeler lost it's brakes and plowed into the rear of the vehicles waiting at the traffic light, quite a mess . http://www.khaosod.co.th/view_newsonline.php?newsid=TVRReE16azVNamN4TVE9PQ%3D%3D Edited October 23, 201411 yr by LennyW
October 23, 201411 yr Google translate isn't too good, but looks like one person was killed. These 10 wheelers drive crazy and are rarely properly maintained.

I can get the gist of the conversation. Great website!

October 23, 201411 yr It's being reported in the Bangkok Post now, on their website. Please, no links here. Seems the driver violated a ban on these types of trucks in that road. The company should be sued big time for this.
October 24, 201411 yr ^Yep, 10-wheelers supposedly banned on that road after similar carnage a few years ago. Probably the same trucking company, paying a bit of "road tax" to the local plod. Same old, same old story.. We will be bumping this thread in another 2-3 years most likely.
October 26, 201411 yr Apparently there was another pile up on Sukhumvit in Ban Chang last night involving a bus whose brakes failed and 6 or 7 cars

In the 14 years I have been in BC, trucks have been banned mutiple times on that road over the years and no one takes a blind bit of notice
