RTP did try and find the killers. They caught some of the group, then money, cover up and a change of police personnel kicked in. Absolutely they can do a good job when they want to, or are not encouraged "not" to do a good job.

To MR JD and JTJ,

Many people have answered your questions and comments, there is one question and report which you are both doing your best to ignore. Please could you read the Thai PBS report above and give us your view on this.

Is this article a figment of our imagination?

Did the police chief claim they had identified the killers?

With seemingly comprehensive evidence?

What in your opinion changed the focus of the investigation?

Thanks in advance

Keep posting to make people aware of what is going on here. And to counter the apologists attempts to cover up the truth.

"The police have arrested a suspect in the murder of two British tourists in Koh Tao and are still hunting for a second suspect who has escaped into Bangkok.

Eighth Region Police Command commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamen identified the first suspect as Mon.

He is the brother of a village headman in Koh Tao.

<snip>."

Well tell us again.

We ALL know you and JTJ have interests on KT, so probably in the "know" too. Seems strange that the Island knows who were involved yet you two "don't". Strange that ain't it....whistling.gif

maybe the police should also look up a guy by the name of Clause who lives on the island he also has been defending them , and is possibly one of these that you have mentioned.

Just look at the jet ski scams how thai mafia use foriegners to assist in extorting money from tourists.

Some of these poster may have been paid or know something more than we do.

I know someone from KT who told me in an email last week that many of the KT people/residents were far from happy at the arrests that were made, or the performance of the local police.

He Has a vested interest in the Island

Things are not what they appear to be, nor are they otherwise

People don't answer your questions!!

Probably for the same reason that anyone with a grain of sense doesn't bother throwing marshmallows at a brick wall.

The sad reality of this whole situation is there is not enough evidence to charge the 2 Burmese kids with murder. DNA for rape maybe but not murder. No fingerprints on the hoe, no blood stained clothes, no wine bottle, simply nothing.

Nothing you claim is true. I am sure that won't stop you from continuing these claims though.

Police initially had one theory. Exculpatory evidence ended that line of questions. Evidence placed new suspects in the forefront of the investigation. DNA, the material witness, confessions, CCTV, etc gave them enough to bind the suspects over for trial.

There is no evidence of a BKK call. That's just a conspiracy theory.

I have no financial ties to Koh Tao.

The "island" does not know crap. Evidence that they don't is the lack of anyone coming forward. The claim they know is just another conspiracy theory.

So..

Not a figment. Announcement made. Exculpatory evidence ruled out initial suspects. DNA linked new suspects to the crime.

I only can assume that even wherever you come from that the initial investigation sometimes changes.

For instance,

^^It's an English language only forum. Sadly, there was a good piece in The Manager we couldn't link because of this, the link on CSI LA.

I tried giving a speech in Thai once and the audience thought they'd attended a Star Trek convention.

The ability to speak Klingon is to be applauded. Kudos to you smile.png .

Maybe you could converse with Naam in Pattaya.

I understand the dificulty but it is a pity that Thai Press cannot be used to some extent as it does give a deeper understanding of the subject.

For the millionth time JD, DNA evidence only links them to rape not murder. They have no evidence re the murder.

Repeating that claim does not make it true.

I will try one final time.

Discovery is a legal term. It means the requirement to disclose facts about a case. The court issued an order for remand based on the evidence in the case. The public doesn't have a right to discovery. You have no idea exactly what evidence has been presented to the court.

We know that there is the third man. A material witness to the crime, we know they can place the suspects at the crime scene. We know there is DNA evidence. We do not know exactly how much DNA evidence there is.

In short your claim that there's no evidence for a charge of murder is wrong. Are they guilty of murder? A trial will determine that.

And you know what evidence has been reported to the court. No didn't think so. Being at a crime scene does not make them guilty. They freely admit they were on the beach. If I don't know then u certainly don't know either. I'll say it again there is no evidence the Burmese are guilty of murder.

Nope, I think they the killers in custody. The trial will determine guilt or innocence.
