I just came back from the parole office I have to report to for the crime I committed.
I just did mine on-line for Jomtien. Submitted it yesterday, Sunday, and got the email with the new slip to download today. That's fast. Super easy--when it works. Traveling out of the country in December so I am keeping fingers crossed that the next one I submit on-line will go thru--although posters have indicated you have to go in person after going abroad. We'll see--maybe that will be fixed by then. -

You are correct, it is not a teaching in the Quran but it only exists now among Muslim communities because Islam is the only main religion that does not allow outside marriage or relationships. Therefore, it is not a cultural action but an act caused directly by the edicts of Islam. Many religions and communities practised honour killings centuries ago but it seems only the Muslim communities are perpetuating it in the 21st century. -

Dentist - Specifically Chiang Mai CITY
Anyone have any advice of a dentist EARLY tomorrow. I don't want Sripat Dental centre as have already been in touch with them and no immediate appointments available. Today, an upper back molar has split in half and I am genuinely in a world of pain (previously advised by a UK dentist that it was cracked but told to wait for it to go 'tits up' before seeking treatment). I can walk around tomorrow morning to find a dentist but likely opening 9am or later? I've actually got a UK dentist appointment in 2 weeks time when I am back in the UK for a visit but certainly can't wait until then. I'm not sure whether a temporary patch up would be the best option although I'm more than happy to have the bugger whipped out straight away if it will alleviate the pain. I'm in the Thapae area if anyone has any suggestions or advise? I've taken a couple of co-codamol for tonight which has taken the edge of slightly but I really need to seek a bit of respite from the pain first thing tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice. -

Vedo molta indifferenza sulle strade thailandesi: dovresti guidare nella corsia di sinistra ma una percentuale molto alta di veicoli con quattro o più ruote, compresa la polizia, viaggia nella corsia di sorpasso. Tu suoni il clacson e gli accendi la freccia e loro mettono la freccia a destra per farti sapere che stanno lì, costringendoti a sorpassarli in modo errato e rischiare di trovare un'auto che guida regolarmente. Fanno multe a chi non indossa il casco ma non ho mai visto auto fermate e multate per aver guidato nella corsia di sorpasso...! -

I see a lot of indifference on Thai roads: you should drive in the left lane but a very high percentage of vehicles with four or more wheels, including the police, travel in the overtaking lane. You honk and flash them and they put on their right indicator to let you know that they are staying there, forcing you to overtake them incorrectly and risk finding a car that is driving regularly. They fine those who do not wear a helmet but I have never seen cars stopped and fined for driving in the overtaking lane...!
