New Hard Disk

Just hooked up a new Seagate HDD successfully. Everything went well except for one tiny annoyance. The new drive appears in BLUE fonts using windows explorer. All folders and files in it are in blue as well.

Is there a way of having it back again in black, which is a lot easier on the eyes?

Cheers!

The blue font you're referring to is MS Windows way of saying that the drive, directory, etc, is "compressed."

Right-click on the drive letter, select > Properties > General Tab > Advanced. Is the "Compress contents to save disk space" checked?

If the drive is using compression, you may want to uncheck the box if you have enough room on the disk for the files to reside in an "uncompressed" state. That should remove that blue font.
