Does anyone have any experience with working with a company to install a steam shower generator unit that you would recommend ?

I would try some of the bigger hardware stores here and see what they say in terms of installation. Like Hardware House or Global House. Maybe even some of the smaller ones here in Pattaya.

I did see a place that sells hot tubs and I think shower enclosures on Sukhumvit. It's on the beach side before a bit north of the floating market, right past the post office. You can see the banner advertising what they sell on the side of the building from the PO parking lot.

If you want, I'll check with my plumber/electrician to see if he can do it. He's quite good.

That would be great, but the issue would be to find the actual steam unit and control module in Thailand. I built my shower to be a steam shower, but could never find a steam unit to install.

Hmmm....I would try a store that sells these here and see if they can help???

Confused about a steam' Shower', steam is produced above boiling point, of course you could not shower in steam, Ouch !! I think a steam room is the term, the steam generator is usually sited outside of the room, and the steam vented in behind wooden grills.

Google search 'steam rooms in Thailand' may help.

Steam room or steam bath

A steam shower is a shower that can also be used as a wet steam room ... hence steam shower ... that's why it has floor to ceiling glass and a vent to vent out the extra steam and the walls and ceiling are tiled with stone and glass.

I was at a friends house last night who has a steam shower. He installed it about 2 years ago or so and said he couldn't find anything here in Thailand. He ordered it off Alibaba from China. I think he said it was 250 UK Pounds.
