Kandahar apparently gets about half the average rainfall that Kabul does, and that was dustbowl most of the year.

Also, in Kabul, we had a 2 beer per man/per day alcohol policy (only beer though, no hard stuff, and I don't drink beer !)

From what I've heard, in Kandahar they have a "No Booze of any kind, Period" policy !

Based on my recent activities over the last 6 months, that may be a good thing though. Give my liver a break !
