Fight Club

Featured Replies

I want to find a Fight Club. Maybe I will start one. I wonder sometimes if a Fight Club would be a good thing, a healthy thing. Releasing it all in a good old fashion ass stompin'! The pain given and taken in such exchanges of harsh fighting is life adfriming.

I remember opening up a kid who was pissing me off one day, this was years ago, I landed one good punch, the first one. Then I got my ass kicked. Up against lockers left and right in the face so fast I couldn't see straight. I burned with shame when it was all over, but I didn't stop fighting the whole time I was getting beaten. I gave it my all and I walked away and I felt good.

Ever been in a real good mosh pit? One that was so charged and filled with such rage? Pushing, punching, kicking, hitting the floor, hitting the guy next to ya, hitting the guy next to him. The sweat, the blood, the adrenaline!!

Where does one go to feel alive? Where can one be pushed, tugged and pulled until they are more than they were? Where can you be challenged to justify your taking up space? Where can you go to feel like you won? Day after day putting up with the struggle and never getting on top, there should be a place where you can win. There should be a place where all winning takes is stepping into the ring.

So many people I see with the focus on their SUVs and phones and bling bling. So many people thinking so much of themselves and what they own they forget how to treat others, forget how to treat their familes.

Our success does not define us, our suffering does. A good ass whoppin' puts everything in prespective.

Join a local Muay Thai club and do some sparring. Or just go into one and start insulting the people working out there. :D

Or be like those tourist wangkers that see the Muay Thai rings in the various bars and decide they want a match. (I like watching some jelly belly 250 pound, pasty white "tough guy" getting his butt kicked by a little Thai guy weighing around 120). I'll bet those guys don't go home and tell their buddies how they got their <deleted> kicked.

Or, talk a walk through the Arab section of Pattaya carrying an Israeli flag. You're sure to get a few people around there willing to engage you in a little "sport". :o

Or walk into an Irish club and starting singing 'Rule Britannia'.

All joking aside, when you feel the need expressd in the op, there's some anger and frustration in your heart and you need to release it. I would suggest a visit to the gym for a good cv workout rather than a fight!

The Buddha might have said you need to learn to calm and control your mind, and that releasing your anger is not beneficial.

Although most thought of the century gone by holds that expressing emotions is vital to psychologic wellbeing, newer psychological studies seem to support that indulging in negative emotions is unhealthy.

First rule is, you do not talk about Fight Club. :D

Second rule is, you do NOT talk about Fight Club. :o

Wasn't that the movie with Brad (leave a wife and impregnate a younger version within 2 months) Pitt?

I don't live in Thailand. I live where such sport is illegal. :D

That would help, but I really need to lash out.

You're right, I know you're right. But the urge is so strong.

It was a book first.

Good book - anarchy rule, free yourself from commercialism. Ramblings from a schizoid. :o

when I was 13 y.o. or thereabouts I found myself in a new school in an unincorporated area of LA county with a bunch of weirdassed associates...what was I gonna do, being a new kid it's hard to choose yer friends...they usually choose you...

found myself in a lavatory one day before first period with these dudes...about 10 of them and not knowing what was about to happen. The lights went out and everyone started swinging at the kid that was closest. Nobody got hurt...it was a display to demonstrate to the kids congregated outside that we were badasses...

buncha little kids...

Bops, I´m gonna PM you with some links relevant to your hometown for fight clubs, muay thai, and some others.

Don't get too clever for the thread!

It's about breaking someone's nose, not a top form of clever interaction. :D

Ah, I love it, yes I love it!! :D

Thanks, maybe some will be free. I have no money. :o

A interesting thread bro!

I had an altercation last week and afterwards I felt very positive indeed.

No-one was badly hurt, I was standing up for my wife. Funnily enough when I told assorted work colleagues the next day, my incident was met with sneering and almost pity.

"why didn't you walk away?" "what if they come after you?"

Life is too short and occasionally you need to snap back.

I realise this has nothing to do with your thread and I apologize in advance TBB.

:D

Oh, no it has everything to do with this thread. Example:

I worked for a company that had door security, I was that door security. One person got mad because I was doing my job by stopping them without a printed receipt. This man, well over 30 years my senior and ten time smaller than me, proceeds to verbal insult me, then I was try to walk away becomes phyical. Says he wants to take me outside. This after he tells me he works for lawyers. The bosslady is standing right there and refuses to step in. I can't walk away because this guy keeps getting in my face. I start yelling at him to get out of my face and at the bosslady for not doing her job.

Long story short I lose my job over this, because I didn't walk away!!! :o This little skinny shit is playing out his tough guy fantasy with me counting on the law keeping his ass safe. FCK THE LAW!!! Someone picks a fight with someone else just to play big man should get hsi ass smashed!! He should have his teeth placed at the back of his empty skull!! I should've beat the holy hel_l out that little bitch!!!

My Grandparents always went to the Royals games. My Grandmother was a huge fan. My Grandfather worked for an insurance company that owned a suite at the stadium. So, he would stay with the food and talk to people while my Grandmother sat outside and watched the game.

One game ( in the 1960's this was) the people sitting in front of the suite seating were being really rude. Standing up and screaming and yelling and fould words. My Grandmother asked them nicely to sit and be quiet. This man turns to my Grandmother and starts cussing her out. My Grandfather an Irishman's son and the son of a heay weight boxing champ lays into this guy. Beat the snot out him for cussing at his wife, for calling her a bitch and all other sorts of things.

Cops show up, find out what happened, plenty of witnesses and tells the guy that my Grandfather beat up that he deserved what he got and was thrown from the stadium.

Would this happen today? NO!!! Someone would pull gun or after the fight each person would get three years in prison. No sleeping it off no letting them cool down, harsh prison and it would my Grandfather that would go, not the bastard mouthing off.

How much shit can a person take before they snap?

Not a lot. It's true what you say that nowadays people have 0% respect for others and think that they can get away with whatever. It just goes to show that we were brought up by parents and grandparents who put the word polite into our vocabulary.

Do I start this bit 'When I was a lad...?'

Apparently not if our preferred method of solving today's problems is Fight Club.
