Thaivisa is now testing Recommended topics

Recommended Posts

Posted

We are currently testing social media improvements with better visibility of the social network sharing buttons, and we are also trying "recommended topics".

Testing of "recommended topics" will be turned on and off and be adjusted during the next 10 days or so.

This on top of all the ads you have is irritating...

An deleting other threads critical of your "test" is a bit lame...

turn the bloody thing off Im sick of em, that and the facebook pop up I already moaned once about it and the topic disappeared.

It pops up right where I keep my mouse for scrolling the page and blocks it.

It is way beyond annoying.

Does this forum not know how popular pop-up blockers are, and why?

While in the subject of UX, do away with having to click 3 times to view classifieds in full. Great for increasing site clicks but poor for user experience and why tv classifieds section is low on my priority. Go check out how simple baht sold does it.

Annoying as heck the Recommended Topics pop-ups....kinda like someone waving their hands in front of your face when you are trying to read something.

The man that invented the pop-up actually apologized to the world a few weeks ago. And now thaivisa has just adopted it. Quite fitting for a Thai forum seeing how the country continues to be going backwards.

Is that irritating JS coloured bar at the top of all screens part of this "recommended topics" testing?

If so, please turn it off or at least give people an option not to see it. It's a complete PITA.

If you click on it one time it is gone for good for you. That's all I had to do and I never see it again.

Must be something wrong with my browser. I haven't a clue what you are talking about. Haven't seen any advertisements or pop-ups for years.

You must have the same browser problem that I have. cheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--ZvY8zn8l
