There is a Martial Arts Fair today at the Chiang Mai University Gymnasium.

I missed this. Did you go? I would be interested on the Thai Sword if you did.

I did go... I would say in the time I was there maybe 2 spectators that were not friends of performers or somehow connected to the different clubs.

Yes... 2. I am not sure what the reason for that is.

As for the Thai Sword, I am pretty sure you would be able to go and watch them when they practice. They have just last week moved their practice and storage room to the Main Gymnasium. I think it is on the 2d floor in between the two large gym floors. I'm sure someone could direct you to them. They used to practice on Mondays and Wednesdays in the evenings that I know of. They probably have more practices than that.

I am not aware of any BJJ at CMU. However, I understand there are some places in Chiang Mai city that have some BJJ people teaching.

One you could try is TeamQuest, or just do an internet search for BJJ in Chiang Mai.

Yeah done that, was hoping there was a group at CMU cause it looks like some good facilties to get some swimming done too.. and like the look of the padded areas, could practice a lot of shit, will come and check out the uni for sure when im up there.

you certainly can check out the Main Gymnasium to see what they have. There is normally a fee or membership required to get in for practicing. Maybe just to look around is ok.

There are some people that play MMA and they probably try to use some BJJ. I don't think there is a qualified BJJ instructor, though.
