  • Very strange, i bought sausages from Yorkies on Chaiyapruek on Saturday, so i would say they are very much still in business.

  • This is one of the best, informative, uncontroversial threads it has been my pleasure to read on TV. I am just waiting for the haters and fun nazis to destroy the sweet vibe.

  • One thing that impressed me when I came to Thailand years ago, the OJ was always fresh squeezed. Nowadays, I rarely come across it. Sad.

Regarding Denmark Hotel; I noticed when the Danish owner is in DK, which he normally is during the 2-3 months summer in DK, the quality drops.

I will assume he is in DK now so I will not go there until Sep when he is back again.

The buffet is very good I think for below 200 baht, especially if you are very hungry and you eat a lot and can skip lunch or have a light salad lunch.

Yes a plated American/English breakfast will set you back min 90 baht but more often 120-150 baht so the price for that buffet is fair enough in my opinion.

Is he back ?

Hello, boring to read so many pages, can anybody post a TOP 5 buffet breakfast in Jomtien ?

At least confirm that Denmark is the best for 170 thb ?

Thank you.

Found another thread:

There simply are not many breakfast buffets in Jomtien so the Danmark wins by default. Why don't you give it a try and share your opinion here?

So just thought I would update this thread, I wen to the Denmark Hotel this morning with the family, and was hoping for a nice breakfast this is what we got:

1. Tasteless eggs.

2. Bacon the american type that is burnt to a crisp and streaky, tasteless.

3. Selection of Thai foods terrible, looked overcooked and not edible.

4. Juices as previously described just like cordial.

5. Bread just about passable, but not what I would of liked.

6. Sausages in the hot water only 3 in there and looked like sausages from 7/11 that were 1 week old.

7. There was a deli section but I only took the butter from there which was also not what I would of expected.

Its 190 baht and simply not worth it, I will not be going back.

When I am in BKK, I love going to the Landmark Hotel for a great meal...
