A few years ago the Phuket Gazette reported that Ko Samui was slated as the future center for Design and internet technology. I believe it reported that the government and some IT technology companies where planning on building a center with equipment, school and resources for Computer gaming, design and internet technology. I was just wondering if anyone else heard about this? Is it still in the works?

There's the IT Center in Lamai, that must be what you're talking about. You can get info from them or others, on how far their along on these projects.

Never really happened. If an IT building is housing realestate agents and lawyers you can safely say the project has failed.

There is a new college / university(government) supposed to be opening in the near future.
