Looking for truckloads of carbonized rice husk. Last year we made it ourselves but it is quite time consuming.

Any idea where to get the stuff in large quantities.

Thanks

Ask at your local nursery or at Kam Tiang plant market. They use it as a dirt additive and there are guys that truck loads of it, regular rice hull, peanut shell and manure around to nurseries on a regular basis.

At this rice mill on the 118 in bulk. Beats Kam Tiang Market and nursery hands down. GPS 18.8580740214, 99.103899509

Went to the rice mill. They had lots of the stuff. Bought 5 big bags for 75 baht each. Happy as a puppy. Came home. Opened bags. No carbonized rice husk inside but burned rice husk. Big difference. As potting substrate OK but as soil improvement useless.

So I'm still looking for lots of carbonized rice husk.

Sorry about that, see now what your looking for. I'm not saying you won't find it in Thailand but have yet to see it here and as for the burnt product being useless I'll beg to difference with you. Been using it for years and it works fantastic. Back to the drawing bord.
