Funny Documentary About Farang - Thai relation

Never ceases to amaze me how out of touch with reality so many people are.

Two minutes of this depressing crap here and there was all I could stomach. After all he experienced, the village idiot still says, "I'll be back," to the other village idiots swilling beer like it was water.

Pathetic lot all from the same mold.

As the Toad said, "What a tool."

I saw this doc sometime back. It's a complete tool shed, especially with the bloke talking about how his wife says she doesn't love him, but he thinks she does.

I suppose the word denial is a suitable one.

For me this is not depressing, honestly speaking this is amusing, I wonder if there are people out there that are really that stupid?

Yes, a XXXXXX of a female no doubt (and no mate, she is not ‘beautiful’ by any stretch) but you have to ask yourself why, when you cannot get a woman in the UK, would they go with you here? And then you let her control all your finances like your mother used to when you were an infant. WHY!

Not a bad bloke, just a bit of a douche, swigging from a big bottle of beer on camera every five minutes notwithstanding. Chaps, when you come to Thailand, don’t believe anything anyone tells you, esp in a bar! And don't behave like some meek dork with lashings of one-way respect around its women.

Thailand is full of 30 + year old decent women, with jobs, a brain and decent moral standards. All a man has to do is learn decent Thai, learn how to behave in Thai culture not act like a total knob end.....but that just seems way to hard for some people to do. If you really are down on your luck with the women you need to pick yourself up by the boot straps and work on yourself. Unfortunately that does mean some work on language skills etc if you are planning on giving it a go here. If not, well....you could end up with a hooker that speaks baby English to you all day long. What a sad state of affairs considering the amount of Thai women that would be considered attractive to many back home....available, yet unobtainable to lager louts that cannot think with their big head. As a man in my early 40's, I am more than happy to stick with women my own age, women that have a brain, maybe even have their own condos...cars...whatever! Its not that hard to do if you make the effort to learn the lingo, learn what behaviours are expected and try not to be a total dick! Just like what you would expect people to do when they come to your country really.....

I stopped after 6 mins then they were too lazy to put the English subtitles up for what appears to be a lengthy Thai Monologue.

Thus 'Her' story is lost to the majority of the audience.

Saw it once before...remembered the prior distaste for both of the principles....everyone should watch once...I thought the one I saw did have subtitles.....

Well been here 20 years and not met one with a brain yet, all most are interested in is food, family, money, lakorn. If so many have decent moral standards how come the place is so corrupt? sure they all say they are against it but have their hands out for 500 baht at election time. Not sure what is more pathetic, the tits losing their temper in immigration, the decent but daft blokes being scammed, or the ones who think they are superior and kid themselves they fit in and are liked just cos they can speak a bit of Thai.

That's what you get for living your life between the barstool and the local soapy massage

Bitch, whinge, moan, groan. I've got it so right. Can't you tell?

My wife sat in & gave me the Thai side which differed significantly from his.

Am I alone in wondering how a documentary crew happened to be there, or which of the 'plugged-in-every-scene-he-was-in' beer company funded the film?

Obviously it was filmed after the events happened. What is the Thai side exactly?, apart from the me poor have baby, have to take care family routine- Thai work hard have have little money Falang work little bit have big money, (therefore i am justified to cheat him out of everything by pretending to care about him!) You don't expect a scamming ex prostitute to tell the truth here surely?

This was probably at least 8 years ago, and the events before as he is filmed going home from DM. I had a GF from the same town once, met some right sorts there, one after another boasting about how much falang give them, then the idea catches on, so ugly too with no manners, culture or brains.

Seems as if this guy did never assimilate with the farm and country life, nor with Thai culture in Isaan. No wonder she prefer to run the farm on her own, without having to care for a falang. If he would have shared the work he would have shared the life there as well. Not the first one who came to Isaan and got frustrated and kicked out later on. Happened and will happen again and again and again and.....

Ok, for those accusing me of being some kind of snob....I aint! I have some good friends here that cant speak Thai too well, but they just have 'street smarts' and a good bullshit detector. They just somehow manage to live here and get along just fine, more power to them! I also am not of the opinion that EVERYONE that marries a bargirl is doomed from the start. Its different strokes for different folks. If a guy goes in to such a relationship and takes it for what it is....has his eyes open then I guess it can sometimes work. There is good in everyone. I just think that there are a lot of guys like this one, basically a bit soft and its sad. He is living in a world of delusion and will no doubt get burnt again.

As far as ALL Thai women not having a brain and only talking about food. Well, ALL twenty something Brit males only ever talk about football.....ALL Americans are loud and obnoxious.......ALL Aussies are alcoholics.....yeah, they are all facts my friends!

It shows more the type off people you are hanging around, than the way the world really is. I have had some discussions about politics etc with Thais, but i prefer to stear clear of such topics here. I have had discussions with my wife about all kinds of things, but again, I came to Thailand to have a nice relaxing life. I generally have those kind of discussions on places like Thaivisa....or with Farang mates. Thai people do tend to veer away from very serious topics and thats one of the reasons why I like it here......nothing to complain about. I had enough heated discussions around the dinner table at home regarding death and taxes thankyou very much.

Simply stating that its beneficial to learn the language and customs of the country you have chosen in could only bring out such negative replies on this forum......its just a laugh a minute.
