Spiral cut hams - where to buy in Chiang Mai

Good luck with your search. TOPS Market in KSK has three different large ham styles for sale - on prominent display - but none of them appear to be spiral cut. Not sure if they can spiral cut them for you but might be worth checking out.

So does it taste better having it cut that way?, people have to realize Thailand

is just a step up from a 3rd world country, and although the availability of products

from the West has risen greatly in they last 10 years, everything you would like is

not yet and may never be available, its all about finding the next best solution.

I was just in the US for Thanksgiving, first time in 9 years. The turkey was great but the spiral cut ham was spectacular. I was thinking that the spiral cut may allow more fat to melt into the center of the ham when it is cooking and thus enhance the flavor. Just a theory however. I was surprised years ago when Butterball turkeys showed up in Chiang Mai. I wouldn't be so surprised to see spiral cut hams around here some day.
