As a completely neutral observer, it seems to me there is a slight warp in the real purpose of TV POY Award.

I thought it was to be given to the one who has made consistently high quality posts, helpful, thought provoking and a little funny. There does seem however to have been a shift towards feeling sorry for those that have never been fortunate to receive such an accolade. Yes injustice deserves empathy but let's not forget why we're all here, to decide who has given the best contribution to the forum over the past 12 months. I cast my vote with that in mind, even looking at some of the other candidates' input before doing so. I think we all owe it to ourselves to do the same.

Each candidate has carefully created an image and to most of us, that is all we have to go by.

I find myself wondering what Patsy cat looks like and is Transam constantly surrounded by ring spanners and gaskets? Does JT really have long hair? I picture him as a wily guy who paces a lot, a deep thinker. I don't know why but I see Mr. Toad as an observer, listening quietly, taking in what happens around him, waiting for a fly to get close enough and then ZAP!

I have a mental picture of Costas as being full and round,a bit like Santa but without the beard. I see a barrel chested man who would strike fear into anyone when he banged his fist on the kitchen table.Yet he has a soft side and a little retzina and some good female company and he becomes a different creature, guess it's all that olive oil and sun!

That should read, "fair and balanced" poster, "no spin zone" here.

Hands across the water, march of a thousand men etc, reaching out the hand of support and frienship to my friend from Pattaya in his hour of need.
