Chong Arn Ma border pass closed

Featured Replies

Front page of the Bangkok Post is reporting that the Chong Arn Ma temporary border pass is closed with Thai and Cambodia army movement. This pass in Ubon is suppose to be upgraded to a full crossing.

Seems the Cambodians are claiming that they were merely clearing land at a proposed site for a casino/hotel, presumably for when the border crossing becomes official. Let's hope this doesn't escalate, the residents along the Thai/Cambodia border have no desire of a repeat of the Prah Vihear 'mini war' a few years ago.
