Woman Killed on Way Home from Market in Trang
Picture courtesy of Khoasod. A 52-year-old woman was killed in a road crash on the evening of 3 April, while returning home from the local market and just moments before reaching her destination. The collision, involving a car on its way to a funeral, left the victim dead at the scene, with her groceries scattered across the road. The incident occurred at around 19:30 at the intersection beneath the elevated bridge on Phetkasem Road in Na Ta Luang Subdistrict, Mueang Trang District. Pol. Lt. Sumet Jitphet, Deputy Inspector of Ban Khlong Teng Police Station, responded to the call, along with medical staff from Trang Hospital, municipal rescue teams, and highway authorities. Emergency responders found the woman, a resident of Thap Thiang Subdistrict, lying on the road with injuries, including head trauma and an exposed fracture to her right leg. Her blue-and-black Honda Wave motorcycle was heavily damaged, with broken parts scattered across the intersection. Beside her were the remains of grocery bags, their contents strewn across the tarmac. The car involved was a black Honda sedan, bearing registration from Trang. The vehicle’s front right side was damaged, with the windshield shattered and both front airbags deployed. The 73-year-old male driver told authorities he had just picked up his grandson from Trang Airport and was en route to a relative’s funeral when the crash occurred. According to initial investigations, the victim had just finished shopping at a night market beneath the overpass and was riding her motorcycle home when the collision happened in the middle of the intersection. The body was sent to Trang Hospital for further examination, while police are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the crash. The family has been notified and will proceed with funeral arrangements. -- 2025-04-05 -

Old Asian hands from Thermae, Grace & Patpong era
That's entirely subjective. To me Hollywood Royale was the cheese. Two stages ( one of naked beauties the other for the shy ones ), porn on the screen, excellent shows, great music, and as interesting a crowd as one could wish for till well after dawn- but that was before the 98 crash and all the expats lost their jobs. It was a sad day when Purachai destroyed the scene. The H R has long gone, of course- nothing good lasts. -

Foreign Tourist Assaulted in Phuket Old Town, Prompting Safety Concerns
Picture captured from dash-cam below. A foreign female tourist was assaulted in broad daylight in Phuket Old Town by a Thai man, in an incident that has sparked widespread concern over public safety in one of the island’s busiest tourist areas. The attack occurred while the woman was standing by the roadside in the heart of the Old Town. Eyewitnesses stated that the assailant approached her without warning, grabbed her by the hair, and began striking her repeatedly. The shocking incident unfolded in full view of passers-by, some of whom recorded the attack on their phones. Videos quickly went viral on social media platforms, prompting calls for greater police presence and protective measures for tourists. Fortunately, a local man and others, intervened and are now being praised as a Good Samaritans. The local man who intervened, identified as Mr Chindanai, 34, a Phuket resident and wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time, stepped in, physically pushing the attacker away and shielding the victim from further harm. The intervention caused the suspect to flee the scene on foot. Thanks to the swift response of bystanders and video evidence circulating online, the Phuket City Police were able to track down and arrest the suspect shortly after the incident. The alleged assailant was identified as Mr Prasong, a 40-year-old man from Chanthaburi province. He was taken into custody and is currently undergoing police interrogation. Although the female tourist, visibly shaken by the incident, chose not to file a formal complaint or press charges, local authorities confirmed that they would proceed with legal action regardless. “Public safety, especially in high-traffic tourist areas, is a top priority,” a spokesperson from Phuket City Police stated. “This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and will be dealt with through the full extent of the law.” City officials have said that they are reviewing current safety protocols and considering increased patrols in Phuket Old Town and other tourist hotspots to reassure visitors and prevent similar incidents in the future. -- 2025-04-05 ScreenRecording_04-05-2025 03-23-45_1.mp4 -

Bidding farewell
It's you. I never had any of that sort of problem, but of course it's going to be more expensive than Nakon Nowhere. Up to you.
