Anyone knows someone who wants a 10 year old aircon - free for taking it away? Although we've had a guy looking at it, claiming he could/would fix it for 5-6000 baht, I wouldn't count on it - and it must be heavily powerconsuming if it did get fixed. However, the metal parts are heavy as a bad year, so someone should be able to make quite a few bucks on scrapping it.

Problem solved. One of the usual neighbourhood scrap collectors figured that it would be feasable to pay us 400 baht for the goods plus 50 baht for a taxi to bring the stuff to a recycler --- all are happy.
