Moscow: North Korean leader 'positive' about Moscow invite

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's foreign minister says North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has given a positive response to the Kremlin's invitation to visit Russia.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Kim's response had been "positive, as a first signal," a statement that echoed earlier comments by Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign affairs adviser. Lavrov didn't elaborate.

North Korea has not officially commented on the invitation and still has time to decline it.

Moscow has invited many global leaders — including Kim and the presidents of China and South Korea — to May celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany, which will feature a Red Square parade.

If Kim accepts, the trip to Moscow could be his first trip abroad since taking power three years ago.

With any luck Kim Jong Un might suffer from one of those old fashioned Joey Stalin heart attacks or a bout of lead poisoning as a result of accidentally ingesting 10-12 grams of lead.whistling.gif

Its not really about him sitting on the train. It is about all the regular passengers having to sit on the platforms for the ENTIRE time his train is active on the tracks (i.e. anywhere between North Korea and Moscow, roughly 5 days of NO SERVICE at all!).

Oh the deep unbridled joy and delights of North Korean socialism where everyone is equal, only some it seems are more equal than others.whistling.gif

Now where did I leave my Boxer(s)?

Probably true. My sister was named after that film so it holds a lot of credence in our family! Nonetheless his trains have caused a lot of trouble in Russia before with Moscow Yaroslavl station closing for 3 hours delaying 1,000s of passengers and causing a number of them to sue. In another event all people in a town his train was coming into were told to stay in their houses and nobody was allowed to use their cars on that day.

Jobs are paid.... ;)

Is he another one who won't fly and whom will be sitting on a train for many days?

No. I do believe he is O.K. with flying. It was Kim Jong il who was none too keen.
