Electrical supply house in Chiangmai.

Featured Replies

I'm presently building a house and need to get all the electrical bit and bobs.

Switches, plugs, wire, light fixtures and pots, circuit breakers etc.

Anyone know a good electrical supply house in Chiangmai?

Homepro and the like are quite expensive and I need to get hold of quite a lot of stuff.

Many thanks in advance.

MCM.

The contractor who did my house bought everything at global

A very competent shop is on Wua Lai Rd. opposite the wedding shop, or about 200 m from the moat.

Homepro,Global and Thai Watsadu have probably the biggest variety/supplies although noticed that you cant always get the same basic products in all 3 outlets.

Over the last few years..Protection Breakers...MCBs-RCBOs-Consumer Units as well as LEDs /downlighters/luminares have finally turned up and find that in many cases can now be cheaper than UK/EU....and don't forget your Earth Rods......all to BS 7671....??

Individual small specialist amounts/equipment...eg Solar panels,Timeclocks,PIRs and day/night lights are available in Amorn...fairly cheap..but not bad...hit and miss.

Local small suppliers actually tend to be more expensive especially out in the boonies.....so...

Thanks for all the info.

I'll take a look at the 2 places mentioned.

I've seen the range at Home Pro / Global .... can't believe electrical contractors go there to source their supplies.

It seems far too 'retail' for lack of a better word.

But then again ..... this is all new to me here.

Cheers.
