We've yet to see him scramble an egg either....let's reserve judgement.

I once heard George Best's opinion of Beckham, and that confirmed my belief that beckham was not world class and Bestie knew a thing or two about the makings of a world class player.

Feel a bit duty bound to say this but i thought Sissoko had a half decent game.  Thats all i can really say for now!!

His one of the season.

Three points nothing more to say really....a poor game from us.

Thing is, baring in mind the circumstances, of which i'll include the lack of transfer window activity, were doing incredibly well.  But i doubt the manager is happy and expect United to come after him at some stage soon, although their boards dreadful running of the club since Gill left suggests they stupidly might not but if they had any sense they would take Pochettino, and it would be Lewis and Levy's fault

Not likely to happen mid season....anyway it is for all a massive club a complete mess right now.

I was thinking more in the summer.  He going to get fed up watching inferior managers winning nice silverware if were not.  I felt this was the season he needed backing and a marker to be thrown down.  He's earnt that and nothing was delivered.  And were facing a second season with no proper home fixtures!!  Were in a bit of a mess too except for the team thats delivering under under more difficult circumstances than anyone else.

The stadium situation is now shrouded in secret and I don't expect us to play there until Jan now.....when hopefully we will make some sort of signing!

Well there really has to be.  I'm talking about a seasoned CL player not lad like Grealish from the championship!

The stadium situation is going to muck up our season as much potentially as lack of signings.  Its sods law we get an injury crisis too.  You see the real impact when Vertonghen gets injured because we have no left sided cover for him.  And was Poch really in a situation where he might have had to bring on a kid from the academy against Barcelona!!!  I know how good he is but he's never played a premier league match so far.  How the <deleted> are we supposed to compete with the other so called big six?  Or rather, how long can we keep a manager that is greatly over achieving but winning nothing.  Theres only a few notable clowns that seem of the opinion that were on a level playing field and thats only because it suits their vanity.

Reality is, if the injury situation gets any worse our season will capsize before we get a chance to bring in fresh faces.  We had a minor blip that was quickly corrected but from now on we simply can't afford any more injuries and the fixture list approaching is quite daunting, something like four games in nine days.

The situation at United may help in the sense that if Levy thinks an approach may be made for Pochettino, he may be more willing to cough up in Jan.

Thats the only positive i think.  But he may have left it too late.  We'll see.  He certainly wasn't "brave" in the last window as he was asked to be!!

No I think you’re earlier post summed it up well. To be where you are at the moment with the number of quality players at your disposal, you are exceptionally well.

Secetly Poch must be a bit pissed off. If he doesn’t get more quality additions in Jan the club leave themselves open to an approach, albeit I realise he signed a new contract earlier.

All that contract would mean is a hefty compo sum from them.

No sensible chairman would keep a manager who wants out.

The situation at the moment is insane and we still have no adequate cover for Kane at all.

Levy has sat on his hands and the stadium fiasco is ridiculous now....it seems no one knows when it will be ready!!

Nah.. thats unfair.unfortunatly He aint mak8ng those huge runs aka the wc and he aint scoring nearly enuf to justify a starting place but when he plays he constantly makes 25 30 yrd runs and gives decent possecion. Trouble is people choose not to comment on those..

The game against Greece.

The only decent game he (Beckham) had for England. 100 caps too many IMO.

Selective memory really in operation for too many....or maybe you all did nearly as many drugs as me back then...? :w00t:

The noose is still up the pole at the scrap yard in Northumberland Park.  Saw it 4 years ago when I reminiscently visited the area.

A big weak link when England had some very good players. A waste of ten years watching and hoping. When you saw his name in the line up you just knew it would be 40 yard balls into the area. International football had moved on; England did not.

One thing i do know if you go by the stats referring to minutes played to goals and assists then Erki Lamela is being massively under used.  I'd also venture to say that had he come on earlier against Cardiff we possibly would have finished things off a lot earlier.

The other rumor is that no ones injured, they are simply helping out finishing the stadium!

To be fair Sissoko did play better but his problem is he is way down the pecking order but it is nice to think now that when he comes on he's actually strengthening us and not the opposition!!????

Yeah, atm barring injuries to others he aint  alone in not being not l worth a starting place but as for being THAT terrible ...he just  aint.. he's  a huge  lump so he LOOKS slightly arkward.  Yeah .. and that detracts from what he ACTUALLY does. The annoying part is that he COULD tear the prem up.. but like Many other the reason he doasnt... well is with the gods.

I should probably be posting this on the Liverpool thread but the point is, hats off to Jurgen Klopp for calling out this nonsense con job of a tournament to enable yet another pointless international break.  Yet another opportunity for our players to get injured and fatigued purely to fund the coffers of football associations.  if they want to take the piss then its about time we take the piss and withdraw our players on medical grounds.  We have a horrendous fixture build up and all that could possibly gain from this is more injuries and an early end to our season.

Its a sad reflection when its sometimes stated, as by me this week that the int'l break comes at a good time so we can gain time to get the injured back up and playing but then theres the possibility of more if we don't pull out players so lets stick it to the FA and withdraw players.

Southgate played our players far more than any other teams in the last two meaningless games.....and he will do so again given the chance.

And off the back of my last post we have every reason to be extremely concerned about how long Eriksen's lay off will be.  Spurs are saying nothing but the Danes are saying it could be a "chronic abdominal problem"  Doesn't sound too good does it!!

Hold on a minute, isn't Southgate a God now because he got us through to a semi final playing crap teams?
