Don't forget, Lewis Holtby will return a much more experienced player after his experience at Fulham. sad.png

In paying 1.5m for his services please explain to me how we were wrong about the German U21 international.

HO HO. Footballs not your specialist subject is it.

So lets change the subject and see if your general knowledge stretches to , lets say, catering!

Do you have the perfect recipe for apple crumble?

Instead of being all girly and sarky, why don't you just answer the question and perhaps tell us where he fits into the plans of whoever is managing Spurs next season.

Maybe these services?

Lewis Holtby has apologised to his model girlfriend after sending photos of his private parts to an air hostess.

It was reported that the Tottenham midfielder – currently on loan at Fulham – has been sending images to another woman while in a relationship with Danish partner Ann Charlotte.

Oh dear Ups is having another hissy fit.

Answer my initial question rather than getting all pissy with me.

Holtby was a snip at 1.5m and if you deny that you are a clown. We'll make money on him no problem, so make yourself useful and find me that recipe.

Just checked the calendar, take it easy for a few days.

Are you in the business of buying players to play or to trade? If so, on balance, you're certainly going to lose a lot of money!

Yep.

A sound business concept that Chelsea use too. Buy young player with potential and loan them.

Btw ups. That's what young professional footballers do.cheesy.gif

Not a problem.

Not a problem.

So if Chelsea bought a 23 year old player, with 19 German U21 caps and 3 full caps, you would expect him to be loaned out?

dunno ups. I wouldn't necessarily expect it but I think I can see reasons why it might happen.

You can only play 11 at any one time.

Can you give me one, apart from him not being good enough?

With those international caps I take it for granted he already has some experience.......I thought Schalke had done all his loaning out.

He's Lewis the Loaner. wink.png

I don't know ups. I'm still trying to get my head round Chelsea policy.

I am sure there are reasons why these things happen.

Maybe it's financial game playing. Maybe it's as simple as a way to get a very large squad all getting first team playing time.

I don't know.

In January Spurs were 3 points behind Liverpool in 5th place, surely that's not the time to loan out a valuable asset.

Boy it seems ages ago they were so close to Liverpool.

Ups i'm going to help you out here because you are making a bit of a Charlie out of yourself. Chosen a line to have a pop and its gone tits up on you.

Lewis Holtby is a youngster that cannot get regular first team football in our midfield. At this early stage of his career he's still developing but in order to develop to his full potential he needs regular game time which is why a loan to fulham was a very good move.

The fact that we prefer Eriksen over Holtby at this juncture doesn't make him a poor player and if we thought he was we would have sold him.

You propensity to write off developing young players with a casual ill informed wave of the arm makes you look a right Charlie Ups.wink.png

He's doing well at Fulham too, as expected.

Is there anything else you are having difficulty grasping?

Fulham boss Magath questions Holtby's fighting spirit ahead of relegation run-in

Your excuses for 23 year old youngsters that cannot play at top level are pathetic!

Have a look around the country at the youngsters who can and very well.

I've already explained to you why he was loaned and at the time we had a midfield packed with "senior" internationals.

Every 28 days you seem to go into a rage over the simplest of things, why is that?. Are you saying Lewie the Loaner couldn't even be an asset on the bench?

There's no need to on this thread.......it's become a total joke.

And there are 107 Mil reasons why it should have been good.

Gee carmen, after Lewis the Loaner, Soldadud and Eric the Lame leave in the close season, there won't be too many jerk.gif left to criticize. Lord knows who would want to go to Spurs after seeing the fiasco this season, though no cold Thursday nights in Kazakstan might be a drawing card
