What Happened To The Koh Phangan Airport?

I seem to remember some time ago there was talk of opening an airport on Koh Phangan.

Did that ever happen?

Nope, don't see it happening either. No place to put it without displacing lots of people out of the homes they've owned for generations.

Still talk, but I'd be surprised if it did ever materialize.

Actually rooo, that thread was about SAmuis second airport being okayed, and then a little blurb about Koh Phangan.

But, you are right, a duplicate of that entire thread isn't really necessary. Please post in that thread for more, thanks
