Hi I am going to uk for 7wks from 17th march,my motorcycle is due taxing 19th april what do I do as I am not returning to Thailand till 6th may...oh my car needs taxing 8th may can I renew my driving licenses at the same time or am I to early?

thanks in advance for your comments...

The tax you can pay early but about your licenses I don't know, you don't say when they expires.

You can renew your licence 60 days before the date of expiry. ( this is for a one year to a five year, you don't mention what you currently hold )

I tried to waffle them into giving me a 5 year licence, by telling them that we were returning home for a few months.

The answer was no - The computer won't allow it. Just repeat the test again when you get back, then receive another one year - temporary licence.
