Robby nz
What a nonsense article. " Abhisit Vejjajiva and his family" Are the assets in the article all include with family members or just Abhisit? And who is exaclty the family? mother, father, sisters, children, uncles.... Yingluck has really 600mio assets only on her own?! I think this country can only uproot out its political instability if it is not only govern by the upper 1% ..!! Could it possibly be that Abhisit has a dependent wife and children and is the sole income earner for the family, therefor his wealth is considered family wealth ? While others like Yingluck have partners with their own incomes so therefore hers, and theres, are only counted as personal wealth.

richusa
And the ordinary Thai is obsessed with his new iphone, eating somtam.....not even knowing that THE MILITARY IS IN CHARGE.....Exact opposite of Hong Kong Residents....They want a democratic vote in the next election, not government appointed. empireboy
What does this outcome really prove? There would hardly be a politician in the world that would have an accurate up-to-the-minute record of their finances... this is B/S gone to seed! And what is the financial status of the current senior Junta leadership please?

rubl
This proves f/all And what is the financial status of the current junta please? Absolutely! We have the democratic right to know the assets of all junta members. Next we'll start with our demands of free and fair elections of junta members and a constitutional description of the junta and their lawful rights and duties
Popular Post Baerboxer
only 11 million baht richer, pretty poor considering a lowly "chosen" Police General was able to have what? 300,000,000 baht go into shares that still didn't put him into debt. The interest alone of her assets would be a lot more than 11 million baht ? And these figures have been audited and verified by whom? Has any member of her family hidden assets before? Does this include her gardeners, drivers, minders, maids, shit house cleaners and assorted servants bank accounts too? Any Swiss, British Virgin Island or other Caribbean accounts in there? If not, then it will be an honest mistake of course.
Nickymaster
Since Yingluck is not officially married she doesn't need to submit financial details of her hubby. How convenient.

Tatsujin
Mrs Yaowapa Wongsawat, the sister of ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra, had 123,861,586 baht in assets higher than debts. Former deputy prime minister Pol Capt Chalerm Yubamrung had 123,861,586 net assets, while former Pheu Thai party spokesman Mr Prompong Nopparit had 16,345,227 baht. Both declare to have 123,861,586 Baht as net assets? Same Same? Yes, didn't you realize that Yingluck was actually Chalerm in drag? I thought everyone knew ...
Tatsujin
(with regards to Yingluck) "She did not include the assets of her unregistered partner in the declaration." So she made a measly 11 million baht extra, whilst the "partner" has become (I would expect) unusually rich.
