Where to find model number on motorcycle

Featured Replies

I want to be capable of verifying the model number in the green book matches that of the bike, also the engine number or whatever the other detail is.

Where are these 2 pieces of info to be found on i) Honda CBR150 2005 ii) Honda Click 2005

I think there are 3 on the ceeber:

R headset, engine, under pillion seat.

This may apply to Crick too?

Won't hurt to know, of course, but if you're buying, just take a seller with his bike with you to DLT, they will verify the engine and chassis numbers against the green book and will do the transfer to your name. ONLY then pass the money to the seller.

I think you may have to get older than 5 year bikes inspected @ sale in some area, in which case they will check the numbers for you.

Good to do yourself first though.

Maybe all bikes sold need to get the numbers checked by authority?

The tape & pencil rub.

It's not the model number, rather the frame serial numbers, ye seek....

You maybe right, my Dragstar was 8 years old when I bought it and everything was done at DLT as I said. maybe they don't check the newer bikes, I don't know.

Papa, your profile picture gives me chills in my groin, every damn time I see it and I see it a lot. 555 (kind of)
