adhesive for shera wood?

Is there a glue I could use to stick one metre x 4 inch strips of shera wood to box shaped metal posts with? I guess it needs to be heat and water resistant as outside, but in shade.

Yup, No More Nails or a similar construction adhesive will do the trick.

No more nails is not really good for exterior use. Sikaflex is the best you can get here.

Trying to imagine why you want to glue instead of screw... Have you thought about how you're going to replace planks that will inevitably break?

I use Pattex, available for HomePro and/or Homeworks. Construction adhesive pretty much same as No More Nails.
