Pinetarsol - Chemist Supplies in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi all - anyone know where I can get a product called Pinetarsol. I have tried many many chemists (Chiang Mai) and none of them stock it - have checked out on-line suppliers in Thailand and again no luck - nearest place that suppliues seems to be Malaysia. The product is freely available in Australia at most chemists - but seems to be not available anywhere here. It is an anti-inflammatory chemical that works - QUOTE: Helps to relieve itching and inflammation associated with a range of skin conditions, such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, chicken pox, nappy rash, sunburn, prickly heat, hives, insect bites, anal and genital itching. I use it for dermatitis smile.png

I saw Polytar in the pharmacists dispense in Mission Hospital, Phuket. Maybe go and see if your local hospital pharmacy has it. It seems to be a similar product.

SOLVED. I was able to get Pinetarsol and also some other Chemist items through an Australian EBay Seller. That I had a Post Office Box seemed to help convince them to try and send what I wanted in a parcel via Australia Post. The Seller is: mydiscountchemist http://stores.ebay.com.au/mydiscountchemist/ They are based in Australia, and have been an eBay member since 2008.

There are many things that you just can't get at a Chemist (Pharmacy) here in Thailand, but are readily available in most chemists in Australia. So if you cannot get something here, and you dont have a friend/contact coming here, and/or you are not going back for a while and cannot wait - give them a try. If they dont have it listed, send them an email (ask for Josh) and ask for whatever you are after. Their prices are equal or better than a Chemist in Aus - and they will then add the Australia Post delivery charge to the bill. http://auspost.com.au/apps/postage-calculator.html
